Fall 2011 Calendar

The semester begins on Friday, August 26 at 10.30am.

The semester ends on Sunday, December 18 at noon. Students are welcome to stay in Rome beyond this time, but will have to find their own accommodations. Students should not plan to stay more than 90 days either before or after the dates that their visa is valid, however, since that is against Italian law and could have serious repercussions.

Students should not schedule any mid-semester trips before the semester beings.

Students are expected to attend every class meeting of the courses for which they are registered. Care should be taken to not schedule trips that might lead to missed classes. See the detailed attendance policy here.

• Friday, August 26: Arrive at the hotel by 10.30

• Friday, August 26 - Sunday, August 28: Orientation weekend

• August 29-September 3: First week of classes, with orientation events

• September 10: Morning visit to St. Peter's Basilica

• September 10: Afternoon visit to the Castelli Romani

• September 24-26: Trip to Tuscany

• October 15: Trip to a Buffalo Farm, with lunch

• October 24-28: Midterms Week

• October 29-November 6: Fall Break

• November 11: Class trip to Naples

• November 13: Day trip to Assisi

• November 14-18: Family Week

• November 26-28: Trip to the Bay of Naples

• December 12-16: Finals Week

• December 16-17: Closing Events

• December 18: Move out of host family by noon
