Fall 2010 Calendar

The semester begins on Friday, August 27 at 10.30am.

The semester ends on Sunday, December 19 at noon. Students are welcome to stay in Rome beyond this time, but will have to find their own accommodations. Students should not plan to stay more than 90 days either before or after the dates that their visa is valid, however, since that is against Italian law and could have serious repercussions.

Students should not schedule any mid-semester trips before the semester beings.

Students are expected to attend every class meeting of the courses for which they are registered. Care should be taken to not schedule trips that might lead to missed classes. See the detailed attendance policy here.

Important dates (subject to change)

• Friday, August 27: Arrive at the hotel by 10.30

• Friday, August 27 - Sunday, August 29: Orientation weekend

• August 30-September 4: First week of classes, with orientation events

• September 25-27: Trip to Tuscany

• October 9: Optional trip to a Mozzarella Farm, with lunch

• October 18-22: Midterms Week

• October 23-31: Fall Break

• November 7-12: Family Week

• November 20-22: Trip to the Bay of Naples

• December 4-5: Optional overnight Advent reflection in Assisi

• December 13-17: Finals Week

• December 17: Closing Mass and Final Dinner

• December 19: Move out of host family by noon
